Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am the Rev. Joe Condro and have been the pastor here since January 2016. I am a graduate of Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. I served churches in North Carolina, Maryland, and Virginia. Even though I am officially “retired,” I love serving this congregation. I like preaching and the one on one conversations and visits with church members. I make sure I am with folks during crises. My wife, Tricia, is a part of the church and when our three grown children are in town, they will come to worship. In my leisure time I enjoy being with my family, doing yard work and gardening, playing golf, and keeping up with my favorite sports teams.
Pines Chapel is a wonderful community of faith serving their Lord and Savior. The membership is very diverse but unified in their joy and thanksgiving as disciples of Jesus Christ. We enjoy being together in worship, in study, in fellowship and in mission. We welcome all those who come as people of faith and seekers of faith. Our purpose is to serve others in the name of Christ. We have been blessed to know this Christ and we seek to share the gospel with others.
We invite you to come and allow us to be a part of your journey of faith. We believe church should be a place where we can ask questions of faith, where we can grow in faith, where differences are accepted and people can find a church home and a place of acceptance and grace. We welcome your ideas and suggestions. We look forward to traveling together in both life and faith with you as we seek to be joyful and thankful people of God.
