Pines Chapel Homecoming 2017

Coming Home to Pines

Sunday, September 24, 2017

Pines Chapel Presbyterian Church held its annual “Coming Home to Pines” worship service on Sunday, September 24, 2017. The guest speaker for the service was the Reverend Merle Fisher, who was a former interim minister to the church. The congregation welcomed him back on this special day for the church!

On Saturday, September 23, there was held a Homecoming for the Pines Chapel 1952 Friendship Quilt, which was on display in the sanctuary during the worship service. Members could also view, in the Fellowship Hall following the service, enlarged laminated pictures of each of the 20 squares on the quilt and look for family members who had their names on one of the squares.

At 1:00pm there was a covered dish meal held in the Fellowship Hall with lots of food and lots of fellowship to be had! At 2:00pm the congregation welcomed the group “Faithful Praise” as they presented a free will offering concert in the church sanctuary.
