Pines Chapel Homecoming

Pines Chapel Presbyterian Church celebrated “Coming Home to Pines” on Sunday, September 23, 2018 with guest speaker, Reverend Nancy Meehan Yao. Reverend Yao is the Associate General Presbyter of the Presbytery of Shenandoah in Harrisonburg. Her sermon was entitled “The Family Tree.” The flowers in the sanctuary were in honor of Ruth Locklear, a longtime Pines member who passed away a few days before Homecoming.

Following worship service, the congregation left to gather food and return to Pines for a covered dish meal that began at 1:00 pm. The group “Faithful Praise” provided entertainment at 2:00 pm and a free will offering was taken up. The food and fellowship was enjoyed by all! Photos of events are below!
